St. Patrick's Day and adventures in standing

Happy St. Patrick's Day from our little cutie! There was a shamrock shirt in our hand-me-down clothes, and although it's a size too big, she wore it today. Probably more appropriate now than when she's wearing that size, which will probably from my birthday until Thanksgiving.

Speaking of clothes, I just finished putting together three packed grocery bags of clothes for Ben to give away to three of his co-workers who have (or are expecting) little girls. We've received so many adorable clothes from friends, and although we're keeping enough for our next little girl (presuming we have one someday), there's lots that we don't actually need. It's fun to pass it along!

These days, Daphne is really into standing. She hasn't figured out yet how to pull herself up, so I have to help her get on her feet. It's for the best because she often forgets that she needs to hold onto things to keep herself up, so I try to pay pretty close attention whenever she's on her feet.

She's awesome at standing up at coffee tables, and she loves it because she can play with toys on the table while she stands. This is what we did at the dentist for a half hour today while we were waiting for Ben to finish getting his teeth cleaned.

She also gets a kick out of standing at a chair that moves. Our office chair might be her favorite toy right now because it spins and has all sorts of interesting things to explore, like the seat, armrests, funny bumpy thing covering the bar that connects to the back of the chair, and the lever to raise and lower the seat. So fun! She also loves standing at the glider in her nursery.

Her favorite place to stand, though, is at the secretary in our study. I discovered a couple months ago that she loves drawer pulls because they make a great noise when you let go of them after pulling them out. If she can stand AND play with drawer pulls, this girl is as happy as can be.
